Background Ronald Vavruska retired from the FAA after 31
years in the area of aircraft certification. His last position with
the FAA was as the manager of the Boston Aircraft Certification Office.
As manager of the office, he was responsible for directing all aircraft
certification programs in the New England states and signing all Type
Certificates (TC), Supplemental Type Certificates (STC), Technical
Standard Order Authorizations (TSOA) and Parts Manufacturer Authorization
(PMA) supplements. In addition, he directed programs for certifying
foriegn aviation product as well as assisting foreign civil aviation
authorities in their programs for certifying US aviation products.
Prior to reorganization in the late 1980s, he was also responsible for
directing all production certification programs and signing all Production
Certificates (PC) and Production Limitation Records (PLR). DER and consulting experience has included Supplemental Type Certificates involving various electrical/electronic/instrument systems for normal and transport airplanes and rotorcraft. This has been accomplished for companies such as Kollsman, BAE Systems, Pro Star and Altair. Other experience has involved modifications and repairs for companies such as ARINC, Hamilton Sundstrand, Sabena and Aviatron and TSO authorization for Jewell Instruments. |
